چکیده

Abstract We generalise the continual gravitational collapse of a spherically symmetric radiation shell matter in five dimensional Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet gravity to include electromagnetic field. The presence charge has significant effect dynamics. note that there exists maximal contribution for which metric functions remain real, is not case general relativity. Beyond this spacetime complex. final fate uncharged field, with positive mass, an extended, weak and initially naked central conical singularity. With terminates emergence branch singularity separating physical from complex region. show marked difference formation only prevalent dimensions. extend our analysis higher dimensions all $$N\ge 5$$ N ≥ 5 , charged ceases above mentioned This significantly different than scenario where strong curvature forms post 6$$ 6 when $$N=5$$ = . A comparison relativity also given.

Nonadiabatic Charged Spherical Gravitational Collapse

We present a complete set of the equations and matching conditions required for the description of physically meaningful charged, dissipative, spherically symmetric gravitational collapse with shear. Dissipation is described with both free-streaming and diffusion approximations. The effects of viscosity are also taken into account. The roles of different terms in the dynamical equation are anal...

Gravitational collapse in loop quantum gravity

In this paper we study the gravitational collapse in loop quantum gravity. We consider the space-time region inside the Schwarzschild black hole event horizon and we divide this region in two parts, the first one where the matter (dust matter) is localized and the other (outside) where the metric is Kantowski-Sachs type. We calculate the state solving Hamiltonian constraint and we obtain a set ...

Spherical Collapse in ƒ(R) Gravity

We use one-dimensional numerical simulations to study spherical collapse in the ƒ(R) gravity models. We include the nonlinear self-coupling of the scalar field in the theory and use a relaxation scheme to follow the collapse. We find an unusual enhancement in density near the virial radius which may provide observable tests of gravity. We also use the estimated collapse time to calculate the cr...

Charged black holes in Hǒrava gravity

We explore static spherically symmetric black hole solutions allowing a bulk U(1) vector field in the khronometric formulation of Hořava gravity by way of EinsteinÆther. We examine analytic solutions and study numerical results in the limit that the khronon does not backreact on the metric.
